Terms & Conditions

1. Rental Requirements:
1. Driver's Age: The primary renter must be at least 21 years old.
2. Driver's License: A valid driver's license must be presented by all drivers at the time of rental. International drivers must also provide a valid passport and international driver's license.


2. Reservation and Payment:
1. Reservation: Reservations can be made online or by contacting our rental office directly. A valid credit card is required to secure your booking.
2. Payment: We accept major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Full payment is required upon vehicle pick-up.
3. Security Deposit: A flat fee of $25 will be held on your credit card at the time of reservation as a security deposit.


3. Rental Duration:
1. Daily Rental: Our rental periods are based on a 24-hour clock, starting from the time of vehicle pick up.


4. Rental Vehicle:
1. Vehicle Condition: The vehicle will be provided in a clean and well-maintained condition. Please report any pre-existing damage or issues before leaving the rental facility.
2. Fuel: Vehicles are typically provided with a full tank of fuel. Renters are responsible for returning the vehicle with the same level of fuel. Higher refueling charges will apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.
3. Mileage Limit: All rentals come with unlimited mileage.


5. Insurance and Liability:
1. Insurance: All rental vehicles include basic liability coverage. Additional insurance options may be available for purchase to reduce your financial responsibility in the event of an accident. Please inquire about available coverage options as insurance is mandatory.
2. Liability: The renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle, including theft, vandalism, and accidents, up to the deductible amount specified in the rental agreement.


6. Additional Drivers:
1. Additional drivers may be added to the rental agreement for a fee. All additional drivers must meet the age and driver's license requirements.


7. Rental Return:
1. Vehicles must be returned to one of our two rental locations on or before the agreed-upon return date and time.
2. Late returns may result in additional day charges.


8. Roadside Assistance:
1. 808 Smart Car Rentals provides roadside assistance during business hours. Please contact our rental office for assistance.


9. Prohibited Activities:
1. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside our rental vehicles.
2. Off-road driving is not permitted.


10. Traffic Violations:
1. Renters are responsible for all traffic violations and parking tickets incurred during the rental period.


11. Cancellation Policy:
1. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the reservation start time may be subject to a cancellation fee.
